After reading the plot of the book, I decided to pick it up and read it. Very unique and interesting.
After visiting her grandparents in New York, Jenny flies back home to Saint Louis, only to take off from 1995 and land in 2020. Her family and friends have grown older, and she finds herself in an unexpected budding romance with an unlikely young man.
I like time travel teen romance books. The premice was interesting...girl from recent past get sent to a futuristic world (known as our present). Growing up as a child of the 90s myself, I never really took into account how the world has changed since then. But I love exploring our present from a 90s teen's point or view.
This story seems like one of those that could really happen, if time travel was possible. I enjoyed the side characters, especially Dylan and Angie. I would have liked to see more scenes with Brad in them, along with his wife and children.
I'd love to see short stories from Jenny's perspective about how the world has changed since 1995, like what would her reaction be to things like Toys R Us or Blockbuster, or even Borders Bookstore, being exstinct. And how have the holidays changed since the 90s, and how have they stayed the same.
It was a good ending, ending on an unasked question. I really believed she would have picked the other answer instead of the one she picked. I can't wait for the next book.
