"Origin" (Lux) by Jennifer L. Armentrout [Review]

Oh, after the riveting climax at the end of the last book in this suspenseful, gripping series, there is no way I could have stopped at the end of the third book and just had to continue. Once again, I finished the book within six days.

Katy is gone, captured by the same government organization that took Dawson and Bethany away for two years near Area 51; and Daemon will do ANYTHING to get her back, from taking on anyone who stands in his way to possibly exposing the Luxen to the world. Meanwhile, Katy must adapt to survive the fearful conditions she's been thrust into. As a couple tries to get back together and away from the organization, they try to figure out who are the enemies and allies.

I loved that the book had two different narratives. From here on, the last two books in the series are no longer told solely from Katy's point-of-view, but Daemon's as well. Even the audio-book has two different narrators. That makes the book even more enticing than the prior books.

Not only are you given new and old villains that you love to hate, but also the book gives you characters, again new and old ones, that you'll find yourself questioning if they're a friend or foe. My favorite new character introduced in this book was Archer, a mysterious military-type soldier who's more than he appears to be. The title is fitting for the book because it tries not only to explore the origin of the Luxen's powers, but we are introduced to a new species known as "Origins".

Once again, fans of this enthralling, gripping series, you MUST read this book and add it to your collection.
