"New Year's Kiss" by Lee Matthews [Review]

I decided to pick this book up because I was looking for a good holiday romance, and this delivered with a post-Christmas romance.

Introvert Tess and her extrovert sister, Lauren, are sent to their grandmother's Vermont resort for winter break as their parents are contemplating divorce. While there, Tess meets Christopher, who is forced indoors after a skiing accident broke his leg. With his help, Tess makes a list of 10 activities to break her out of her comfort zone. With obstacles getting in her way, will she be able to complete list?

The story fits in well with the season. It gives off that ideal ski Lodge vacation feeling. I enjoyed watching as Tess tried to complete her list, and seeing the obstacles she had to go over.

The author does a good job at giving us surprises in the form of her friend, British speaking Carina, and the relationship between the sisters.

This was a good read, and one you should definitely read in the cold months. It doesn't feel right reading it when it's hot out.

For teen contemporary romance fans, this is a good book to read whole cuddled up by the fire on a cold winter's night.
