I have read the author's first debut book, Your Life Has Been Delayed, so I thought I'd give this one a read as well. Plus, I'm a fan of Tweet Cute and Instant Karma.
Maggie is having the worst day. Her boyfriend, Theo, breaks up with her and she breaks her foot, preventing her from starring in the school play. When she receives a text with a link to download The Best Day Ever app, she downloads it. But this app doesn't just help her relive the day she met Theo, she gets everyone else's perspectives and inner thoughts. The information she gets is more than she bargained for. And what she learns just might change her perspective. Is Theo's friend Carson as obnoxious as she first thought? Or may he be the perfect guy for her?
Just like in her prior book, the author puts a little bit of magic into the ordinary world she's created. If this is a trend for her books, I'm all for reading them. I enjoyed learning about how Maggie thought the people in her life for her, versus all they really are after learning a bit more about them.
My favorite side characters would have to be Maggie's brother Adam and her best friend Rayna. I can't say too much without revealing spoilers, but I liked how even Maggie's relationships with the two of them grew and changed.
For fans of Your Life Has Been Delayed, Tweet Cute, and Instant Karma, you will enjoy this book.
