"Don't Breathe a Word" by Jordyn Taylor [Review]

I had read the author's prior book, The Paper Girl of Paris, and decided to give this one a read.

Just like in the prior book, which is not the part of a series, the story deals with two timelines. Present day Eva is trying to be accepted by her peers at her new boarding school and learns about The Fives, but soon learns they have dark secrets in their past. Meanwhile, in 1962, Connie and a group of five other classmates decide to sign up for a fallout shelter test. But when things go horribly wrong, will Connie be able to keep the secret?

I enjoyed that the author tied the two stories in with each other, and enjoyed seeing both girls' stories. I kept reading and wondered if the two women would ever meet, but I will not spoil it for potential readers. If you want to learn the answer to that, you'll just have to read it yourself.

Another great one by the author. I can't wait to read her next historical mystery book, hoping there is one.
