I have to admit, I was apprehensive about this book at first. But since it was free on Riveted, I decided to give it a read and then later, found myself 7 chapters in and decided to continue reading it. This is your typical run-of-the-mill, coming-of-age, teen beach read. Isabel (nicknamed Belly - personal reasons why I'm not a fan of) goes every summer to a beach town called Cousins (interesting name) with her mother, older brother, mother's best friend, and her two sons. But this summer, she's turning 16. I love the little peeks into the past that are inserted in between the short to medium length chapters. It gives the reader more insight to Belly. Even though there is some romance in the book, I would call it a coming-of-age book moreover than a romance book. Personally, I think the writers other book series, "To All The Boys I've Loved Before" was better, and I haven't even watched the movie yet. Still, this is a book to read.
