The part that first drew me to this book was the YA romantic comedy aspect of it. I also was intrigued about the trips the characters take throughout the years. They were all interesting, unique, and similar, but yet different.
The book is broken down to 4 parts, each part covers one year of high school (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior). Each year, their class goes on a different trip. I loved how the leads (Lulu and Alex) started off despising each other at the beginning of their freshman year. I was a little surprised by their sophomore year relationship (no spoilers), but thoroughly enjoyed their Junior Year in New York and Senior Year in London. But watching their relationship ups and downs was very interesting. I also enjoyed the peppering of pre-May-7 chapters throughout the book that gives the reader more insight to the characters and their lives. I felt without those chapters, a lot of things would be confusing for me. All in all, this is a cute little YA romantic comedy story. Good addition to the genre.
