I saw this book recently on Google Play and gave the first few chapters a read. After that, I was hooked and am glad I got this copy that has an extra chapter from the point-of-view of one of the boys.
The premise of the story is a simple one: Jackie (17) lived a lovely, rich life in New York City with her sister and parents, up until her parents and sister die in a freak car accident. Then months after the funerals, she's sent to live with Katherine, her mom's childhood friend, Katherine's husband, their tomboy daughter, 2 nephews, and 7 sons (technically 8, but oldest Will lives in town at his own place). Having never lived with a boy (her father was a man) before, she tries to adjust to this new life on this Colorado Ranch filled with boys. Of course, she ends up in a love triangle between 2 of them.
It was interesting to read, and I felt I couldn't put it down after I picked it up. Of course, life got in the way and that's why it took this long. But this was a very interesting contemporary romance. It didn't focus a lot on Jackie's sadness over her family's deaths, but more on the transition she was making between her prior life and her present one.
This is a good read if you're in the mood for a new experience/contemporary country-like romance. I enjoyed it. I bet contemporary romance or even country romance fans will enjoy this one too.
