"A Constellation of Roses" by Miranda Asebedo

I got an advanced e-ARC of this book from Edelweiss Plus in exchange for an honest review. Thanks to Edelweiss Plus.

I was a little uneasy at first about reading this book, only because the main character was a thief. But as it went on, I began to enjoy it.

Trix is essentially an orphan, with her father never having been in her life and her mother had walked out on her a year prior. Forced to steal (which she has a talent for), she is eventually discovered by social services at a motel. She is taken to her long-lost aunt, great-aunt, and cousin (on her dad's side) known in their Rocksaw town as the talented McCabe women, who all have talents. But she still struggles with the past, not sure if she deserves this good life.

After reading this book, it makes me thankful for some of the small things in my life (no spoilers), and I enjoyed reading it. I also wish the pies in the book were real, like Never-Lonely Lemon.

This book has a little of struggling to find your place in the world from the main character, and it was very interesting to learn about the "Constellation of Roses" that are the McCabe women. This is a great book to read. Only reason I didn't give it a 10 out of 10 is because I'm not a big fan of the slight cussing.
