I never really watched any debutante shows, so that's one reason the book seemed interesting to me. And I also liked that this was the beginning of the series.
This book is riddled with debutante ball things (which I enjoyed) and parental scandals (which were ok). It was a great start to the series, and makes me wonder if they'll be more Southern Scandals in the next book, which I'm assuming takes place in the summer.
This is a cute, light read with debutantes, squires, mysteries, and scandals. Good for a light mystery read
