This was my first book from Morgan Matson that I've read and might not be the last.
The thing that drew me to this was, obviously, the plot: Charlie looking forward to a weekend with her older siblings (3 brothers and 1 sister) attending her sister Linnie's wedding at their childhood home just before moving. I love teen wedding stories, and this one reminded me a little of "Save the Date" by Tamara Summers, because both are about the main character (youngest) and their sister's wedding (weddings in Tamara's book). (I also realized just now that they have the same title - LOL). But both do have good differences.
The characters in this story are realistic and imperfect, and that works. I loved it that things kept going wrong with the wedding and nothing was perfect: alarms going off, missing tuxedo, surprised guests... etc. There were times I felt I was right there with Charlie, going (ayi! What now?).
I was luckily enough to go and meet the author during her tour of promoting this book last June, and after reading the book, I feel like I would have disappointed myself if I hadn't go.
For teen fans or wedding fans or big family fans or fans of a combo of the following, get this book.
