3 years after losing her big sister to an accident on the lake, at the beginning of 8th grade, Amelia accidentally gets her sister's 8th grade letter and sets off to complete the things in the letter her sister never got to do.
I love the title. It was very cleverly thought out. And some parts of the book makes it seem that big sis Clara is trying to talk to her little sis.
I love the characters and the setting. My favorite place was the General Store that Amelia and her best friend Taylor would go to.
This felt like a realistic story, and light-hearted as well. It was sad at times, but not overbearingly sad (or any of the other emotions you might feel while reading the book).
For anyone who's lost an older sibling (or even if you haven't), this is a fun book to read. It's not heavy on emotion, but show's a girl's struggle to move on after death of a loved one.
