"Your Destination Is On The Left" by Lauren Spieller (Review)

I got this in exchange for a review from Eldeweiss Plus. Thanks! What drew me to this book was not only the gorgeous cover, but also the nomad artist girl settling down for an internship in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I could tell that Dessa longed for college life and to settle down, but I felt that the book explained more of that and didn't really give hardly any "I'm going to miss (something) about traveling". I would have liked to see a little more depth to Dessa and a little more struggle of what she wants rather than just her struggle with her art (I liked that) and relationship with Cyrus (whom I felt was too needy/greedy at times). I would have preferred to see more of my favorite character, Taryn, and absolutely enjoyed the scenes with her in it. Or maybe a short novel from Taryn's point of view of meeting Dessa and her visit to New Mexico. All in all, this is a cute, light-hearted story of a young artist who tried to decide than get what she wants.
