"Airports, Exes, and Other Things I'm Over" by Shani Petroff (Review)

After reading the author's prior work, "My New Crush Gave to Me", I knew I had to read her next work. I love to travel, and after reading the plot of this book, I wanted to read more.

Fans of Shani Petroff, you will NOT be disappointed. This book has a great romance that you're not sure if you want to root for it to succeed or be voting against it to fail.

It will take you on a journey from a Manhattan club, to a Florida retirement home (wish I could have seen a little more of Florida), to a busy Florida airport, to a Boston-to-NYC-bound car ride, finally ending back where it started (I think). This feels like one of those types of books that "it's about the journey, not the destination". And that works well for the story.

All the characters felt real, from Sari (pronounced Si-ree) to seems-perfect Fitz, and even the self-entitled woman at the airport. I felt like this story could really happen. I do wish I could have...how do I put this?...seen more of Sari's music rather than just one song.

If you're in the mood for a light-hearted, travel, teen contemporary romance, get this book.

5 out of 5 stars.
