I got this book as part of a giveaway at the YALLWest earlier this year. Having loved my first-read Kasie West book "By Your Side", I decided to give this one a whirl, and am I glad I did.
I was surprised to find out it took place in a county I'm very familiar with. I don't read many books based in that area.
What I loved about it: the setting and the realistic feeling of it. I think most teens would act the way Maddie did when receiving the money.
This is a good book for a teen romance. It doesn't try to make you believe something, but really shows you the life of a teen girl who's life changes when she turns 18. If you're into teen romance, and for any Kasie West fan, you won't be disappointed about this read.
